What is DHI Technique?
The DHI technique, also called Direct Hair Implantation, is slightly different from the FUE technique. The difference of the DHI technique is that the hair follicles extracted from the donor area are transplanted to the area in question the help of an implanter pen without opening the channel. The implanter or Choi Needle is in the form of a channel and has a thin cylindrical structure. Thanks to its special mechanism, the hair follicle is transplanted in the area.
What Are the Stages of DHI Technique?
The stages of DHI technique can be listed as follows;
- The donor area is locally anesthetized and hair follicles are harvested.
- With the Choi Implanter pen specially developed for transplantation, hair follicles are transplanted at 40–45-degree angles. Another important factor at this point is determining the direction of the hair and transplanting it that way.
- The hairs transplanted after the procedure are healthy and strong.
What are the Advantages of DHI Technique?
- Due to the simultaneous removal and transplantation processes, the hair follicles are not kept outside for long.
- It can also be applied to patients with ongoing hair loss.
- The patient experiences a rapid recovery period.
